trust and expectation

"We treated them (customer) well in return this is what we get," said a founder and CEO of a business to me.
In my journey of being a founder and owner of a law firm, I find joy in not just being able to use my legal expertise to brief him about the pros and cons of trying to resolve/settle the matter amicably with his customer to achieve win-win vs going through lawsuits, but also to be able to be there to hopefully minimise the emotional distress and help the person to see bigger picture from a brighter perspective.
In life (so is business), we won't be able to control how people will treat us, not even when we have done our best to treat them good - what we can do is we try our best to resolve/settle the matter amicably to achieve win-win without admitting/implying any fault/liability (if indeed so). Anger, bitterness, unforgiveness and offenses will not do good.
One reaps what he/she sows - if we sow good then we expect to reap good even though sometimes it may not necessarily be from the same person. We trust in the Lord and expect the best from the Lord Jesus and He decides who to send for us to reap the good from even though it may be from others:
"This is what the Lord says:
"Cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the Lord.
He will be like a bush in the wastelands;
he will not see prosperity when it comes.
He will dwell in parched places of the desert,
in a salt land where no one lives."
"But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.
He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream.
It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.
It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."
"I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward a man according to his conduct, according to what his deeds deserve."
(Jeremiah 17:5 to 8 and 10)
